The Opportunity
Designs, develops, tests, delivers, maintains and improves HR applications as a member of a team, works across Full-Stack through entire software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Participate in design reviews with the team to ensure alignment with the user story's vision and standard resources.
Analyze existing code, data mappings and workflows to address future improvements.
Design, develop, test, deliver, maintain, and improve business applications as a member of a team, working across full stack through the entire software development lifecycle.
Design end-user interfaces, databases, APIs and server-side logic while maintain both front and back-end web applications’ components.
Apply disciplined coding practices to enable agility and delivery of high-quality code.
Conduct a wide range of tests and analysis to ensure software applications meets or exceeds standards, and end-user requirements.
Develop detailed system design specifications to serve as a guide for system/program development.
Updates progress daily through the tracking tool (Jira) or Kanban board
Learns and develops expertise in Adobe Experience Manager, Workday Development, including but not limited to custom report configuration, integrations, and Workday Extend.

BS is Computer Science or related field is required
3 to 5 years of enterprise experience in similar work environment
Experience with front-end frameworks including React, React Native, JQuery and back-end frameworks including Express/Node, Spring boot, Spring cloud
Experience with scripting language including JavaScript, Python
Experience with server-side language including Java
Experience with Code Scanning tool such as: Snyk, Sonar
Familiar with SQL/NoSQL Databases including MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB
Familiar with Application Performance Optimization
Good foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OOP with rock-solid programming skills
Collaborative attitude, willingness to work with team members; able to coach, participate in code reviews, share skills and methods
Understands how to find and reusable patterns and platforms in the Manulife ecosystem and the broader community
Good verbal and written communication; effectively articulates technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
Experiments with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next

Salary range is expected to be between
$94,220.00 CAD - $174,980.00 CADIf you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitment@manulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
