Agilus is recruiting for a Civil Estimator in the construction industry in Burlington, Ontario. This role will be responsible for managing the estimating process for assigned projects, while working closely with the owner, design consultant and project manager to prepare cost plans, undertake value engineering, complete cost saving exercises and develop the project budget. A typical day: Produces detailed quantity take-off and prices labour, material and equipment portions of estimates Develops and maintains relationships with suppliers/subcontractors Manages the estimating process, including site conditions, safety requirements, solicit suppliers and subcontractors, interprets project drawings and specifications, prepares quantity surveys, pricing of estimates, and prepares pricing of General & Special Conditions cost estimate Work with the owner and owner’s consultants to perform constructability reviews Directs and monitors progress of estimators during bid process Generates bid packages for specific scopes of work Maintains confidentiality of subcontractor/supplier bid pricing Successful candidates will have: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering 5 years experience in Civil estimation Strong communication skills Organizes and manages time, duties, and activities efficiently Ability to present information Total rewards: Competitive salary Health & Dental Benefits
