This position supports the Issues Management function for Capital Markets (CM). By acting as a Project Manager/Coordinator, responsible for supporting the effective management of AML related projects/Issues to completion. Each Issue Management Lead will act principally in the areas of project planning, project monitoring and integrated project management. Key accountabilities are described below:
This role will offer you the opportunity to learn best-in-class practices relating to issues management in a matrix organization while building processes for Capital Markets and networking with key stakeholders across Lines of Business.

Creative problem-solver with intellectual agility and curiosity. Ability to investigate opportunities for increasing efficiency, including cost/benefit. Detail-oriented. Ability to collaborate with teams across BMO. Ability to demonstrate understanding and management of an issue by actively navigating stakeholder discussions and contributing to the solutioning. Self-starter with ability to learn quickly and work independently while also being able to work effectively in a team environment. Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, PowerBI
Knowledge and Background:
1. Undergraduate degree (business, finance/accounting, economics or law preferred).
2. 4‐6 years of work experience in a compliance, audit, risk, or AML function.
3. Certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist or similar.
4. Knowledge of Capital Markets products, processes, and the purpose of the Operating Group in a bank.
5. Knowledge of the importance of AML to a Financial Institution.
6. Understanding of risk and of control frameworks.
7. Aware of the regulatory requirements applicable to a Financial Institution.
Primary Location: Virtual/First Canadian Place (100 King Street W., Toronto)
Base Salary Range:
Please note base salary range for this role in Toronto is CAD $75,000-$85,000
