Job Purpose

The purpose of the Supply Chain Coordinator role is to manage the Dealer and Regional Retailer Accounts from across Canada with account reconciliation, along with investigating disputes and miscellaneous inquiries. 

 

Major Accountabilities

  • Collect on accounts – Dealer and Regional Retailer (BC, Quebec)
  • Redirect any commissions against AR account
  • Reconcile all accounts within their payment terms
  • Inquire on overdue invoices, maintain credit limits for accounts
  • Create new customer codes as required.
  • Liaison with internal business units for upcoming projects/disputes
  • Weekly AR reports on Dealer/Regional Retailer Accounts

 

 

Level of Autonomy/Initiate/Decision Making

Decisions/recommendations made/actions taken on a regular basis

  • Also includes decisions taken without reference to supervisor:
    • Running reports from SAP to ensure that all funds received match postings to SAP
    • Weekly AR reports on Dealer/Regional Retailer Accounts

 

Types of Situations/decisions referred to supervisor

  • Manager is engaged when responses are not received due to overdue invoices
  • Vacation coverage, who will be assigned what task
  • Credit escalations

 

Most complex situations/problems:

  • Ensuring the accounts are current to avoid any unexpected write offs

 

Communication

  • Majority of communication is done via email to customers/business units
  • Phone calls are made to the Regional Managers/Directors for support
  • Face to face conversations between the employee and internal business units for specific tasks

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Educational level required – High School, College/University Diploma
  • Designation not required
  • Bilingual – French first language
  • Years of experience required – 1-2 years in Supply Chain
  • Specific experience – Basic Accounting, good organization skills, SAP Retail
  • Job Specific Certifications – understanding of Supply Chain and Accounts Receivable
