We are working with a Federal Government client seeking a Level 2 tester to join their team remotely for a 1-year contract + two 1-year extension options.

The Tester will be developing and implementing an overall testing strategy for application and developing test plans and test scripts. The initial testing will be done manually but may adopt some automated testing tools down the line. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop the test strategy and Master Test Plans.
  • Lead and participate in testing efforts as defined in the testing strategy.
  • Provide status reporting and share common problematic patterns with the Project Team.
  • Prepare reports on the effectiveness and any defects to the operation/engineering team.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing framework for regression testing.
  • Ensure team is kept updated on all materials generated.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Reliability Security Clearance 
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Tester
  • Minimum of three years’ experience leading the testing of software development or application maintenance.
  • Minimum of three years' combined experience with all of the following:
    1. Writing and executing software test cases against requirements/user stories; and
    2. Writing manual and automated test cases; and
    3. Writing test summary reports; and
    4. Writing defect reports.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience maintaining automated testing framework(s).
  • Minimum of three years’ combined experience establishing software testing procedures for:
    1. Unit testing, and
    2. Integration testing; and
    3. Regression testing
