Agilus is recruiting for a Intermediate Piping Stress Engineer in the Engineering Consultancy Sector in Calgary, Alberta. The individual assigned to this role will be accountable for ensuring piping stress designs follow all applicable codes, standards and specifications. Intermediate Piping Stress Engineers will work on one or multiple assigned projects and support the project team through execution A typical day: Conduct Piping Stress Analyses: Perform stress analysis on piping systems using Caesar II and manual methods under the guidance of the Senior Piping Stress Engineer. Design and Support Solutions: Recommend piping modifications, select standard supports, and design custom supports to manage stress, thermal expansion, and equipment loads. Collaborate and Coordinate: Work closely with various engineering disciplines to align stress design efforts and provide timely feedback and comments. Review and Documentation: Evaluate internal and external documents, compile technical reports, issue data sheets, and conduct bid evaluations. Project and Technical Support: Support procurement, subcontractors, fabrication, and construction teams while upholding EPFC core values and contributing to project deliverables. Requirements: Degree in Engineering or technical school graduate with a minimum of 4+ years of piping stress engineering experience. Sufficient knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31J and CSA Z662 Codes, applicable API codes for equipment nozzle loading. Proficiency with Caesar II, Navisworks, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications, experience with Nozzle Pro. Preference will be given to those candidates who have prior oil and gas, EPC or EPCM experience. Total rewards: Competitive salary and vacation plan. Medical and dental benefits.
