Agilus is recruiting for a Junior Commodity Tax Advisor in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta. The commodity tax advisor will be regularly exposed to a wide range of commodity taxes in both a compliance and advisory support capacity. A typical day: Preparation and filing of commodity tax returns including those for fuel tax, excise tax, sales tax and GST/HST, among others. Provision of commodity tax advice to internal stakeholders. Supports commodity tax team members to administer commodity tax compliance activities and to respond to regulatory audit inquiries including data extraction. Successful candidates will have: Post-secondary education, preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Two years of Canadian commodity tax compliance experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel. Experience with SAP, including S4 HANA, is desirable. Experience with Power Platform (i.e. Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query) is desirable. Ability to work with minimum supervision in a deadline driven environment.
