Our federal government client is seeking the services of an experienced Financial Professional to support their Financial Accounting Team. This is a 9-month remote contract.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel claims processing;
• Data entry of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions
• Invoice verification and communication to business units
• Filing and archiving of financial records
• Month-end and year-end assistance
• Journal entry preparation and posting
• Review key expense accounts to ensure correct coding
• Other administrative tasks

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial or accounting role, with hands-on experience in:
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Month-end and year-end processes
• Experience with SAP, particularly in expenditure and procurement modules
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Reliability clearance
