As a School Campus Security guard, there is a high focus on Scheduled Patrols, Desk duties, Report writing and exceptional customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in environments in a school environment

Responsibilities for School Campus Security Guard

  • Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide visitors
  • Deter potential threats and ensure the security of the area
  • Respond to emergencies on a required basis
  • Assist tenants by providing requested services.
  • Perform checks of mechanical and utility rooms during the shift.
  • Monitor stairwells and common areas for cleanliness and safety.
  • Conduct exterior checks of building entrances and parking areas.
  • Record readings from utility meters as needed.
  • Conduct general patrols of the premises to ensure safety and security
  • Check all doors and ensure they are closed and not jimmied anyway to allow for entrance
  • Access control at all entry and exit ways
  • Report every incident and tenant complaint to the client

 

Qualifications for School Campus Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid Manitoba security license
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • Comfortable with interacting with unauthorized individuals
  • Good with technology-based systems
