Elections Alberta is an independent, non-partisan office of the Legislature. Elections Alberta is responsible for administering provincial elections, by-elections and referenda. Reporting to the Senior Budget Officer, you will be responsible for the preparation and processing of the Elections Alberta invoices and financial accounting transactions, conducting necessary reconciliation's, including investigation and resolution of differences. You will aide in contract and procurement processes and tracking and reconciling contract payments as required. You will be responsible for timely processing of payments to election and enumeration staff and vendors and assist with payroll processing when required. You will assist in reviewing departmental financial policies and procedures, recommending changes where necessary. You will also assist with training of election workers and RO office staff on payroll and expense management and policies.
This position is exempt from the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE). Final Candidates will be required to undergo a Police Information Check.
