Sr. Startup Solution Architect

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Toronto, Ontario

Salary: Information not available

Do you love to innovate on behalf of customers? Do you thrive on solving challenges working with a diverse set of early stage startups building products for a wide set of industries? Do you have a passion for thought leadership in technology? We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to join the Startup Solutions Architecture team, and it could be you!

As a Startup Solutions Architect focusing on early stage through Accelerator and Incubator firms to later stage VC funded startups, you’ll work directly with Accelerators/Incubator/VC partners and companies in their portfolio to drive the technology behind their key business outcomes. Working with early-stage startups that are still building an initial product or mid-stage startups that are growing and scaling, you’ll get a chance to experience a breadth of technology challenges like no other role.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architects help shape the technology decisions of our customers by guiding them in best practices, becoming a trusted technical advisor, advocating for the customer’s needs internally and through thought leadership in the industry via content creation and presentation delivery. You will own the technical engagement and develop deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.

For more than 11 years, Amazon Web Services (“AWS”) has been the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. AWS offers over 175 fully featured services to millions of active customers around the world—including the fastest-growing startups, largest enterprises, and leading government agencies.

Key job responsibilities
- Engage directly with startup customers to provide them with technical advisory as they build their products in the cloud. Ensure that they are spending as little time and money as possible doing so
- Create plans, in conjunction with other members of customer account teams, to define how you will help your customers with their cloud needs
- Share your technical knowledge broadly by participating in select, startup-focused, one-to-few and one-to-many sessions with larger groups of customers
- Work with other teams at AWS (e.g. marketing, training) to contribute to the creation of content that can be delivered to the broader startup community at scale (e.g. on-line videos, and other digital content)

AWS values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply.
