The Executive Council Office (ECO) provides central leadership and coordination to advance government priorities and support executive decision-making. ECO plays a vital role in supporting the Premier, Executive Council (Cabinet), and its committees by offering expert advice in areas such as policy, legal affairs, communications, and labour relations. The department helps shape strategic direction and ensures informed, effective governance at the highest level.
The Manager of Corporate Services plays a pivotal leadership role within the Executive Council Office, contributing directly to both its day-to-day operations and long-term strategic success. This position requires a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence in service delivery. Leading a dedicated team of five professionals, you will provide both strategic guidance and hands-on operational oversight. Your ability to embrace challenges and drive continuous improvement will be essential in ensuring the seamless functioning of one of the government’s most central and dynamic offices. From overseeing the Premier’s correspondence team and managing financial transactions to running the unique Gift Bank store and publishing senior officials’ expenses, your work directly supports transparency, accountability, and public trust.
In this role you will:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field supported by progressively responsible experience, or a Master’s degree with a solid foundation of experience in comparable positions. Equivalent experience and training may also be considered.

This position is based in a comfortable office environment in Halifax. Standard hours of work are 35 hours/week from Monday to Friday.
Pay Grade: EC 11
Salary Range: $3,418.96 - $4,273.75 Bi-Weekly
