Steeped in a rich military heritage and tradition, messes have been used by the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) throughout Canada's history to foster morale and promote military values including camaraderie and unit cohesiveness. Messes give members a strong sense of commitment to the ideas, objectives and the basic responsibility expected of them within the CAF and set the standard for military service within Canada. CFMWS provides support to all CAF messes. Specifically, PSP Hospitality Services provides expertise on operational and management practices and assists mess managers in providing quality mess hospitality services.
Under the supervision of the Mess Manager, the Mess Administrative Assistant assists in planning, organizing and coordinating administrative procedures for the Mess office. They answer and respond to incoming phone calls or direct inquiries to the appropriate person. They balance petty cash and all monies from mess dues and accounts receivable, type and process all correspondence, perform administrative duties as well as take reservations and collect payments for all entertainment functions.
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma and several years of experience in administration

- In office administration and records management

- In the preparation of reports
