Position Overview

Calian is currently seeking a Dental Hygienist to work at CFB Ottawa. The Dental Hygienist functions as a member of the dental health care team in the provision of quality dental treatment, therapeutic care and the provision of limited procedures and services as directed by a licensed Dentist. This role is ideal if you have an interest in treating the military population. This is a rewarding position where you would make a difference in the lives of the men and women who serve our country and keep us safe.

Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 7:10am – 3:10pm

Responsibilities

• Perform scaling, root planning, curettage, polishing procedures, desensitizing agents, occlusal sealants and anti-cariogenic agents
• Provide oral hygiene instructions and nutritional counselling
• Conduct periodontal examinations and record clinical findings
• Take digital radiographs
• Provide administrative support such as updating patient databases, scheduling programs, and maintaining patient records

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
• Registered within the province of Ontario
• CPR Level C

• You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
