06/29/2025Address:33 Dundas Street WestCustomer SolutionsThe Treasury & Payment Solutions (TPS) Proposal Manager/Writer will work closely with various partners across the enterprise, including Sales, Product Management, and Legal/Insurance to develop competitive sales proposals and related materials in response to the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.
The ideal candidate should be bilingual in French, have comprehensive knowledge of a B2B and Provincial & Local government RFP process, and possess an understanding of treasury management products and services. APMP Certification and experience working in RFP automation software (e.g., Responsive, Loopio, Seismic, etc.) is strongly desired.
Coordinates and/or completes responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) for the designated product portfolio to secure new business for BMO Financial Group.
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
- Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
- Assists in the development of strategic plans.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Oversees the quality and accuracy of RFP database.
- Coordinates the management of databases; ensures alignment and integration of data in adherence with data governance standards.
- Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
- Provides input into the planning and implementation of operational programs.
- Leads/participates in the design, implementation and management of core business/group processes.
- Employs systems (e.g. customized exception reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.
- Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.
- Determines proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs.
- Works in collaboration with subject matter experts to determine strategic approach including persuasive content and proposal details.
- Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinates submissions and collections; identifies and communicates risks associated with proposals.
- Maintains quality results by using standardized templates; follows proposal writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintains proposal support databases.
- Creates high-quality and customized responses to requests for proposals and proofreads content, ensuring accuracy and integrity of all proposal documentation.
- Meets proposal deadline by establishing priorities and schedules for information gathering, writing, review, and obtains approvals by reviewing proposal with key stakeholders.
- Provides direction and coordinates support services, as required/as appropriate (e.g. graphics and desktop publishing services, digital and print services, including hands-on oversight of the production and delivery of the Final Submission, other administrative support, etc.).
- Participates in debriefs after proposal submission and supports the external debrief program (as required).
- Improves proposal writing outcomes by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate material.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

$74,800.00 - $138,600.00SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
