You will collaborate with mechanical, civil, structural, process, and automation specialists—locally and across Stantec's global network—to transform bold ideas into operational assets. This role offers exceptional learning and development opportunities while challenging you to explore new technologies and solutions that enable the next industrial evolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop single‑line diagrams, schematics, cable schedules, and equipment specifications focused on energy efficiency and emissions reduction.

  • Run load‑flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash, and protection‑coordination studies using ETAP, SKM, or CYME.

  • Support grid interconnection studies for renewable generation and battery energy storage systems.

  • Conduct site visits, provide construction support, and assist with commissioning; translate field findings into practical design improvements.

  • Apply CSA, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, and ISO standards relevant to clean‑energy facilities.

  • Assist project managers with scope definition, cost estimating, scheduling, and engaging client presentations.

  • Mentor junior team members and actively share knowledge across disciplines.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible for licensure within six months.

  • 5–8 years of Canadian experience in electrical design for energy infrastructure (renewables, hydrogen, or related fields).

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (or Revit), ETAP, SKM, and/or CYME.

  • Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, clean‑energy guidelines, and interconnection requirements.

  • Intellectual curiosity to push boundaries, learn emerging technologies, and champion innovative solutions.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites (approximately 10%).

  • Asset: proficiency in French.

What We Offer:

  • Hands‑on responsibility on impactful projects that drive decarbonization and energy security.

  • A formal mentorship program, training allowances, and clear pathways to technical‑specialist or project‑management careers.

  • Flexible work arrangements (hybrid office/remote) and paid volunteer days to support the causes you care about.

  • Industry‑leading compensation, comprehensive benefits from day one, and a share‑purchase/bonus program.

  • A collaborative, inclusive culture where every voice matters and innovative ideas become reality.
