Your Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Project EIT - Process Mechanical to join the team in our Burnaby, BC office. The successful candidate must be available to work at a site office 5 days per week, located in North Vancouver.
Your Key Responsibilities
Member of the Owner’s construction management team for a large and complex multi-year project
Reports to the Senior Engineer - Process Mechanical and Electrical/Instrumentation
Reviews Contractor RFI’s and coordinates with the Engineer-of-Record to address technical issues
Collaborates with the Owner’s Engineer to resolve technical discussions between the Contractor and EOR.
Supports the CM team with non-compliance reporting and general construction oversight
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Minimum 3 years of experience in process mechanical design, construction, commissioning or operation.
Previous experience working in Wastewater or clean water treatment and familiarity with P&IDs preferred
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve construction issues.
Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience with process automation and control systems.
Knowledge of automation and control systems, such as SCADA and PLC.
Education and Credentials
Bachelor’s degree in Process, Mechanical, Industrial or related engineering field.
Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with EGBC or equivalent or immediate ability for EIT registration.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
