As a Railway Station Security Guard , there is a high focus on customer service since you will be working with people all shift, in a Rail  environment.

Responsibilities for Railway Station Security Guard

  • Customer service duties like welcome, verify identity, and guide Passengers
  • Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs
  • Respond to incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams
  • Answer questions in person or by phone
  • Write incident reports and communicate security concerns
  • Patrol the site and Reporting with G-Track device.
  • Check all doors and ensure they are closed and not jimmied anyway to allow for entrance
  • Conduct regular exterior and interior patrol with G-Track to deter potential threats and ensure the security of the area
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Monitor CCTV/alarms
  • Visible deterrent to any vagrancy, vandalism, and/or loitering. Must be vigilant in patrolling those areas and be visible walking around.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Railway Station Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid Manitoba security license
  • First aid certification an asset
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
  • Previous experience in the Security industry is an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work Evening and Night shifts
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 
  • Good with Technology
  • Must be available to Mandatory trainings
