Summary of responsibilities:
The Analyst, Security Clearance is responsible to administer and maintain CATSA’s security clearance program, policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Duties include overseeing personnel & facility clearances, training & briefings, classifications, administrative inquiries, classified visits and meetings, and other aspects related to security compliance. The Analyst, Security Clearance performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
• Successful completion of a college diploma in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or other related field of study.
• One (1) to two (2) years work experience carrying out security processes and security clearance checks.
• Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, certification and accreditation, and risk assessments.
• Experience producing a variety of risk analysis, and vulnerability reports for management.
This position is best suited to individuals with the following skills and abilities:
• Experience in Training/coaching of student’s which occurs on a regular basis.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships and provide consistent, high quality customer service.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion in performance of duties.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, organizational skills, and time management skills to ensure effective and efficient management of the security clearance program.
• Initiative and resourcefulness.
• Strong teamwork orientation.
Specific work requirements
• Ability to work overtime as required;
• Ability to travel as required
• Language Profile: Bilingual BBBB;
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
