This is an Individual Contributor role (not a people manager) and is subject to Hybrid work model (2 days/week in the Toronto office at 33 Dundas St West)
BMO’s Personal and Business banking department is looking for a Senior Program QA Manager with strong QA program management background. The individual, working for P&C - Products and Services department, will be accountable for managing the overall Quality Assurance and Engineering activities of large projects/programs across multiple teams and Platforms across the Bank. The selected individual shall:
Develops, executes, and maintains the Program Test Strategy - outlining the overall Test Planning/Executing strategy, Automation strategy, Testing methodology and Test governance for the Program.
Accountable for managing overall End to End quality of the product, working closely with SME of various Applications, Services, and Infrastructure teams throughout the development/testing lifecycle.
Manages a cross-functional team comprised of QA Lead(s), Automation Lead(s), Defect Manager, Enterprise End to End Lead(s) and Performance Testing Lead(s) across different platforms (mainframe, web-based, mobile, online banking etc.)
Collaborate with various relevant leads in creation and implementation of the Automation Strategy for the Program.
Reviews and interprets all testing related documentation, including functional and design specifications, to provide input to the project team on the planning of testing activities.
Accountable for overall QA Program estimates including efforts of all involved QA team resources, Test Data Management Automation team, Performance team etc. and overall QA Timelines aligned with the applicable Program release dates.
Accountable for testing of all phases of the Program including SIT, UAT, Enterprise End to End, Performance Testing and Reporting.
Communicates test execution progress and overall quality of the Program to relevant Executive and Program stakeholders.
Accountable for ensuring adherence to BMO’s SDLC processes and meeting all QA audit requirements for the Program.
Identify opportunities to strengthen the quality assurance capabilities by sharing expertise, training, and mentoring team members and building communities of practice.
Qualifications:
Typically, 10+ years of work experience in IT or BS/BA/MBA/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
Experience managing overall QA management of large multi-team programs is a Must.
Expert Knowledge on ALM, JIRA tool, Reporting and Dashboarding.
Advanced knowledge of Waterfall, Iterative and Agile methodologies.
Expert knowledge of the SDLC, testing concepts, QA methodologies & QA metrics.
Good knowledge of Perfecto Mobile, API Automation and front-End Automation frameworks (Selenium, QTP).
Good understanding of Core Banking applications and infrastructure components of a Canadian Financial Institution.
