Agilus is recruiting for several Printing Press Operators in the Packaging Industry in MISSISSAUGA, Ontario. Located in Mississauga, we are seeking a dedicated Printing Press Operator to work with flexible plastic materials. This role presents a steep learning curve, requiring time and commitment to master the intricacies of the printing processes. Responsibilities: Operate gear and servo-based presses, running the press at expected production rates Work as a team to follow production schedules, complete changeovers and meet production goals Conduct setups and press-related troubleshooting to maintain strict quality standards Perform accurate ink station procedures to ensure proper color-matching for each customer specification Communicate & problem-solve using daily reports such as, OEE, transition sheets, and set-up check lists Perform quality checks to ensure film samples match targets and report variances Participate in scheduled equipment PM’s and troubleshoot machine operation issues Use core cutters, hand tools and transfer finished products on skids to warehouse using pallet jacks The successful candidate brings: 3+ years of flexographic printing experience, polyethylene film experience preferred 1+ years of manufacturing experience Ability to color-match; color-blind test required Open availability to work 12-hour monthly rotating shifts with some weekends Proficiency in reading, writing and basic math (a must) Basic computer skills for production data entry Ability to lift up to 50lbs and standing for extended periods of time We are looking for applicants who are willing to stay long term and learn processes – paper/cardboard printing skills are acceptable but note the process is different, skills may not be 100% transferable – as long as you have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, please apply!
