Agilus is recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Designer in the Engineering Consultancy Industry in Calgary, Alberta. Our EPCM client is recruiting for an Intermediate Electrical Designer to join their team on a permanent, full time basis. You will work under the direction of a Senior Designer to plan and carry out technical assignments of substantial variety and complexity. You will be responsible for resolving problems, interpreting specifications, and investigate design difficulties. A typical day: Support senior team members with the design & drafting of plans, preliminary estimations, and details with the use of guidelines. Effectively manage deadlines and ensure appropriate communication is provided when schedules and conflicts arise. Generate electrical deliverables such as single line diagrams, layouts, schedules, schematics, interconnection wiring diagrams, BOM, details etc. 3D Modeling of Electrical Equipment for model, plans and layouts. Ensure client's specifications are met, company specifications are met and that the designs are compliant with regulatory standards. Report any existing or potential safety and quality nonconformities to the senior designer and/or electrical lead. Work cohesively with cross-functional groups. Successful candidates will have: 3+ years of experience in electrical drafting. Technical school graduate. Well versed in AutoCAD and CADWorx, with strong 3D knowledge.
