We are seeking a motivated Business Systems Analyst to join our . The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert for key business applications, providing technical and analytical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. This role supports application performance, issue resolution, change management, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business goals. The Business Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and support application functionality.

  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle including requirement analysis, documentation, testing (unit, end-to-end, parallel), implementation, and training.

  • Provide support for production systems, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and functional specifications.

  • Design and develop reports and queries using tools such as SQL, Power BI, or other BI tools.

  • Assist in creating end-user computing (EUC) tools based on business, user, and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess current systems and recommend improvements or upgrades.

  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and aligned with business goals.

  • Conduct root cause analysis of issues and recommend preventive solutions.

  • Support compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.

Compliance Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and other regulatory guidelines as communicated by the Compliance Department.

  • Complete all mandatory compliance and regulatory trainings on time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field).

  • 1–3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Application Support Specialist, or related role within the banking or financial services sector.

  • Experience with DTCC (Derivatives Reporting), FINTRAC EFT Reporting, and Document Management Systems is a strong asset.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Strong skills in process mapping, data analysis, and requirements gathering.

  • Solid understanding of reporting tools and query languages (e.g., SQL, Power BI).

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proactive problem-solver with excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and work collaboratively with business, IT, compliance, and other departments.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage escalations and drive resolution through to completion.
