Job Opportunity: KYC Analyst – Hybrid | Toronto, ON
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office)

We are currently seeking an experienced KYC Analyst to join the compliance function of a reputable financial institution client in Toronto. This is a critical role within the KYC and AML department, designed for professionals with a solid background in regulatory compliance, customer due diligence, and risk-based KYC processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end KYC reviews, including onboarding, periodic reviews, and event-driven updates for commercial and corporate banking clients

  • Perform risk assessments and due diligence based on customer profiles and product types

  • Execute sanctions, PEP, and adverse media screening for customers and affiliated parties

  • Review and maintain customer data in internal systems, ensuring information remains accurate and compliant

  • Support documentation control, file management, and reporting activities aligned with internal and regulatory standards

  • Liaise with front office teams and compliance leadership to ensure timely and accurate KYC outcomes

  • Participate in training, cross-functional initiatives, and compliance projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a dedicated KYC or compliance function, ideally within a federally regulated bank

  • Strong understanding of Canadian AML regulations and FINTRAC guidance

  • Prior exposure to commercial or corporate banking environments is preferred

  • High level of attention to detail, with strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and high-volume KYC workflows

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field; professional designations (e.g., CAMS) are considered an asset
