Under the direction of the Deputy Manager, PSP, the PSP Administrator – Alert plans, manages and administers the operations and delivery of Personnel Support Programs (PSP) services including hospitality, mess, retail operations, physical fitness, sports and recreation. They develop and implements unit policies and procedures and make recommendations for changes as required. The Administrator enforces the requirements for health, hygiene, safety and security standards and programs. They ensure enforcement of territorial liquor legislations and Department of National Defence (DND), Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and Station policies concerning the serving of alcohol, employee drinking restrictions and customer behaviour. This role administers
physical fitness, recreation and sports programs, policies and directives.
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, Hospitality, Sports Administration, Recreation Management, Exercise Sciences, Leisure Services, or a related field
AND
Several years of experience in sport and recreation administration, physical fitness evaluation and prescription, or in a related field. A demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. This includes but is not limited to demonstrated military education, training or experience
Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification, as required
Experience
Planning, organizing, managing, and evaluation multi-business operations
Applying policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation
Inventory and bar management, retail management
Managing the work of volunteers and contractors
Financial administration
Coordinating events
Delivering physical education, sports, and recreation programs, an asset
Competencies

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location. Position Location in Alert, Nunavut.
The anticipated term of this position is July 25, 2025, to November 28, 2025.
