05/15/2025Address:33 Dundas Street WestCustomer SolutionsAs part of BMO’s North American Retail & Small Business Payments department, the Partnerships team manages a number of existing major partnerships and also has the mandate to develop and grow new partnerships that are aligned with our strategic vision and add value to the BMO cardholder experience.
The Senior Manager – Air Miles Partnership is accountable for strategic oversight, planning and coordination of the BMO AIR MILES Credit Card suite, as well as leading co-ordination with broader banking teams around further integration of the Air Miles program in customer loyalty strategies. In this role, the incumbent will: (1) manage BMO’s Air Miles credit card portfolio, (2) act as a thought leader for further growth opportunities in partnership with the Air Miles program, including liaising with non-cards retail product groups (3) team leadership
Accountabilities:
Manage BMO’s Air Miles Credit card portfolio
- Managing the portfolio P&L and delivering annual goals for Revenue, Net Income, Loan Losses, Productivity, and Market-Share
- Developing and executing product and portfolio strategies based on deep consumer insights
- Designing, building and enhancing the product offering over time
- Continually monitoring the competitive environment and anticipating customer needs
- Working with colleagues in Retail Payments Acquisition and Portfolio Management to drive acquisition and customer engagement
- Effectively managing risk and ensuring compliance with all laws, rules and BMO policies
- Ensuring effective policies, procedures and processes for the AIR MILES portfolio
- Leading and/or participating in initiatives across the bank related to the AIR MILES partnership and AIR MILES credit cards, and resolving customer escalations.
Act as thought leader for further growth opportunities in partnership with the AIR MILES program, including liaising with non-cards retail product groups
- Managing the relationship with AIR MILES and identify investment, technology, or customer experience opportunities that drive growth to the cards business
- Providing insights to optimize the customer experience for BMO’s AIR MILES program, based on the needs of cardholders
- Maintaining deep expertise on the loyalty industry and influencing AIR MILES reward program changes
- Developing joint innovation roadmap with AIR MILES to deliver unique, integrated value propositions for BMO AIR MILES cardholders
- Managing all contractual and partnership governance obligations
- Liaising with other lines of business across the Enterprise on AIR MILES matters
Team Leadership
- Team lead for a 3 FTE team, while also acting as thought leader within the payments business
- Building, leading, managing, and coaching a strong, diverse, high performing team and sustaining a Winning Culture while delivering an excellent employee experience
- Working with the leadership team to effectively lead the broader team, including: setting direction and team priorities; providing inspirational leadership to the broader team; establishing a positive team culture and work environment, and balancing priorities and workload.
Qualifications:
Knowledge
- Minimum undergraduate university degree, an MBA or other post-graduate degree, or equivalent industry related experience preferred
- 6+ years credit card product management experience
- 4+ years partner relationship management experience
- People leadership experience
- Strong track record delivering results in ambiguous and challenging situations
- P&L management experience preferred
- Data fluency is an asset

$84,000.00 - $156,000.00SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
