Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Microsoft 365 (M365)
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager – Microsoft 365 (M365) to lead enterprise-level M365 initiatives across our organization. This role is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and adoption of M365 services, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Intune, Purview, and associated security and compliance tools.
Working within a healthcare setting, the Senior Project Manager will ensure that digital initiatives support patient care, comply with privacy and regulatory standards, and align with clinical workflows to avoid disruptions in frontline operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Digital Health leadership, business stakeholders, clinical teams, vendors, and cross-functional departments to drive digital transformation through secure and effective M365 implementation.
Lead the end-to-end delivery of M365 projects, from planning and design through deployment and post-implementation support.
Collaborate with technical teams on M365 architecture, configuration, and migration strategies.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria in partnership with executive sponsors and organizational leaders.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and resource allocations.
Ensure alignment with Digital Health governance, compliance, and security frameworks.
Coordinate risk identification and mitigation, ensuring early escalation of project issues.
Oversee change management activities, including communications, training, and user adoption strategies.
Engage with clinical informatics and frontline teams to ensure seamless integration of M365 tools into clinical and administrative workflows.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and external delivery teams.
Support continuous improvement and post-deployment optimization of M365 solutions.
Ensure all M365 tools comply with privacy, security, and health data retention policies.
Provide regular status updates and executive-level reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Expertise – Proven leadership in M365 deployments, including deep knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Intune, Defender, Azure AD, and governance.
Leadership & Communication – Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence and build consensus across teams.
Problem-Solving & Change Management – Ability to manage change in clinical and administrative environments; results-driven with strong analytical capabilities.
Project Management Methodologies – Proficiency in PMBOK, Agile, and hybrid delivery models.
Risk & Stakeholder Engagement – Effective risk management and stakeholder engagement strategies that support adoption and minimize disruption.
Attention to Detail & Adaptability – Precise execution in complex environments with flexibility to pivot as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
7–10 years of IT project management experience, including at least 3 years leading M365 or equivalent cloud productivity suite projects.
Demonstrated experience managing on-prem to M365 migrations (e.g., Exchange, file shares).
Familiarity with M365 security, compliance, lifecycle management, and administrative tools (Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, M365 Admin Center, Power BI, Copilot).
Experience supporting clinical workflows, EHRs, and secure healthcare data projects.
Understanding of healthcare integration standards (HL7, FHIR) is an asset.
PROSCI or similar change management certification is a plus.
