Our Retirement Operations Change Management and Learning Centre of Excellence is seeking a Change Management and Learning Consultant!

In this role, you will work in collaboration with leaders and subject matter experts from Retirement Operations as well as with multi-disciplinary project teams to lead learning activities and end-user adoption across transformational and business-as-usual initiatives. This role will support enterprise change initiatives and business-as-usual learning priorities, responsible for strategically designing, developing, and implementing tailored change management and learning strategies and plans to drive change and learning commitment from awareness and training delivery through to sustained user adoption.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders to define and prioritize learning and change management initiatives, ensuring ongoing alignment with strategic priorities and expectations from senior leaders through consistent communication regarding prioritization and support.

  • Develop comprehensive change management strategies and related communications, learning, and stakeholder engagement plans in collaboration with Retirement Operations, Retirement, Sales and Distribution, Communications, Training, Marketing, and Technology.

  • Conduct stakeholder assessments to validate teams and individuals impacted directly or indirectly by the change, as well as determine the degree of stakeholder commitment relative to the needs of the program, to inform on how best to drive leadership and stakeholder commitment.

  • Conduct change impact assessments to validate impacts and degree of change for all impacted groups, informing the change management overall approach and tactics, while providing guidance to program and business leadership regarding the stakeholder impact of any planned change.

  • Collaborate with Communications and Project Leads to ensure project progress and risks are communicated to all levels of management throughout the extent of the project.

  • Develop learning strategies and plans tailored to the unique needs of each initiative, socializing and ensuring buy-in of learning strategies and plans by leaders of impacted areas, and collaborating with Learning Designers and Knowledge Management resources for the development of learning materials, and with subject matter experts and other training resources for training delivery in the lead up to go-live.

  • Lead business readiness, while ensuring post-launch support mechanisms are in place, with lessons learned used to drive continuous improvement.

  • Identify potential people-risks and anticipated points of resistance. Leverage insights to develop mitigation strategies and plan to proactively address stakeholder resistance.

  • Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders, project team members, vendors, shared services, and other groups to deliver quality solutions within scope and agreed upon timelines; remotely manage relationships.

  • Collaborate with business and project leaders to influence change management and learning outcomes, with a focus on ensuring that changes and impacts are well understood by all impacted teams, and stakeholders are consistently prepared to successfully adopt transformational change.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of experience in a change management or learning role.

  • Understanding of the project management lifecycle, in both waterfall and agile project methodologies.

  • Proven track-record of working in a project environment, working with Gantt charts and workback schedules, feeding into RACI discussions and project status updates.

  • Experience leading transformation and change management activities for projects and initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups, leveraging Kotter, Prosci ADKAR, or internal proprietary change management frameworks.

  • Proven track-record of introducing change management as a discipline across senior leadership, people managers and stakeholders.

  • Ability to quantitively define and measure change readiness across unique stakeholder groups to track organizational awareness, understanding, and adoption over time.

  • Well-versed in adult learning best practices, strategies, and methodologies. Expert-level ability to analyze data and identify trends to improve learning solutions.

  • Strong collaboration and relationship management skills; ability to work effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that improve organizational effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and dedication to project timelines.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and re-adjust priorities per changing circumstances, develop workplans and workback schedules, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data /information/activities in an organized manner.

  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to synthesize information and develop appropriate actions.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong relationship building, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial Services experience.

  • Prosci ADKAR certification and / or Certified Change Management Professional (CCPM) designation.

  • Agile/Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.

  • Formal Adult Learning certification and/ or Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) designation.

Salary range is expected to be between

$71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CAD
