As a Casual Health Care Security Guard, every shift brings new challenges and opportunities to make a meaningful difference. Whether you’re supporting patient and visitor safety, conducting routine patrols, managing access control, or responding to urgent situations, your ability to adapt with professionalism and precision is key.
Monitor and patrol hospital premises to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff
Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and alarms
Provide respectful and compassionate customer service to patients and visitors
Enforce hospital policies, access control, and visitor management
Document incidents and complete detailed security reports accurately
Valid Alberta Security License
First Aid and CPR certification (Standard or Emergency Level)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
Experience in healthcare security, customer service, or related fields is an asset
Physical ability to perform patrols, stand for extended periods, and respond to emergencies
Ability to work various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, on a casual/on-call basis
