Our Non Profit client is hiring for a Bilingual Receptionist to join them on a contract basis. This role is starting on an 11 week contract with the potential to extend. This is working full time onsite in the St. Laurent area.
The Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors and callers. This role provides friendly and professional reception services, supports office operations, and helps with the Home Delivery Program.
The successful candidate will be fluently bilingual and available to get started right away.
Reception & Visitor Services
Greet and assist visitors, donors, clients, and staff.
Answer calls and respond to general inquiries.
Manage reception coverage, keys, and visitor passes.
Client Support
Provide information on available food supports and services.
Assist with Home Delivery Program intake and data entry.
Support clients in distress with compassion and direction.
Donations & Cash Handling
Accept and process cash/cheque donations.
Enter donation data in QuickBooks and follow cash handling procedures.
Office & Mail Coordination
Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
Monitor office supplies and order as needed.
Support equipment maintenance and new hire setup.
Administrative Support
Keep reception and common areas tidy.
Assist with admin projects and coordinate volunteer tasks.
Bilingual in English and French (verbal and written).
Previous experience in reception or community intake roles.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general office procedures.
Compassionate, reliable, and able to work with a wide range of people.
