In this role you will assess individual client investment needs to provide professional, customized investment-related advice, sales and service. Build client trust, educating them on investment strategies, associated risks, and performance expectations that help them achieve their financial goals. Develop and retain long-term client relationships and delivers an exceptional client experience. Identify and makes referrals to other business groups. Work collaboratively within the market, BMO partners and the community to build relationships and deliver the desired customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Earn your way to Relationship Manager for clients up to $500,000 (to start). Client Relationship Manager status will be incrementally established by adding value, earning trust with clients over time.
- Administration: will need to learn systems for opening accounts, logging notes, developing financial plans, sending and receiving funds, and other duties. Junior advisor will learn the systems without an assistant, but with full support and guidance from our team. Candidate will have full access to back-office resources
- Collaborates with internal partners to expand business relationships with existing clients.
- Assist senior advisors in creating and implementing financial plans for clients. This will be 5% to 10% of the role.
- Prepare and review financial documents, reports, and presentations.
- Maintain and update client records and financial databases.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings and managing communications.
- Respond to client inquiries and provide timely and accurate information.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
- Represent the team at the bank branches, adding value to the staff and developing relationships with both bank staff and retail clients.
Qualifications:
- Licensed by the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) to conduct trades in compliance with regulatory standards, including Canadian Securities Course (CSC®), and Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH®) Course, Wealth Management Essentials (WME®)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is asset.
- Experience in the financial industry preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to break down complex subject matter into easily understandable concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Taking ownership for results
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
$41,600.00 - $77,000.00Salaried & CommissionThe above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
