Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction is the government’s solution provider and supports the significant events in Albertans’ lives, like having a child, getting married, mourning the loss of a loved one, getting a driver’s licence, or buying a home.
Our ministry is responsible for protecting consumers in an increasingly complex economic environment; overseeing registry activities, like vehicle, business, and land registrations; and cutting red tape by one-third to reduce costs, speed up approvals, and make life easier for hard-working Albertans and businesses. The ministry also oversees the policies and legislation related to the regulation of the alcohol, cannabis, gaming, and horse racing industries in the province.

Are you an experienced policy analyst with expertise in motor vehicles and registries in Alberta? This may be the position for you!
The Motor Vehicles and Registries Administration Branch is seeking an experienced Senior Policy Analyst to join our team! In this position you will research, consult, analyze, develop, and implement policy directives that are aligned with Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction’s business plan objectives with specific emphasis on the motor vehicles program. You will succeed in this role if you have strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills to lead strategic projects in the development of deliverables for new and existing programs/policies, engage with staff, and achieve positive outcomes. You will be proactive in addressing policy issues, adept at developing work plans, and capable of providing expert analysis to support decisions.
