Our client, a leading company located in Maxville, ON, is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Credit Specialist to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Credit Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of credit card and commercial accounts with a strong focus on accounts receivable functions - including payment processing, collections, account reconciliation, and customer account management. The role is fully onsite for the first 3 months, transitioning to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite) thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment processing, and cash application
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collection
  • Analyze credit applications, recommend credit limits and terms, and maintain up-to-date customer credit file
  • Investigate and resolve customer payment discrepancies and process account adjustments/credit
  • Enforce company credit and AR policies while negotiating payment arrangements and coordinating escalations with collection agencies or legal partners when necessar
  • Conduct regular account reviews to identify and mitigate AR-related risk

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • 2–3 years of hands-on accounts receivable/collections or similar experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel - VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
