Our client, a leading international professional services firm, is seeking a
Marketing and Business Development Specialist to join their Vancouver office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support a high-performing team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role focuses on marketing strategy, business development initiatives, proposal support, and account management, helping to drive client engagement and firm visibility.
This role is a full-time permanent opportunity, requiring the successful candidate to work on-site at the client's office in Vancouver 5 days per week. Candidates must be elligible to work in Canada.
Responsibilities:- Identify and support new business and marketing opportunities
- Plan and coordinate events, sponsorships, and seminars (some travel and after-hours work may be required)
- Collaborate with designers to develop marketing materials
- Coordinate legal directory submissions and award nominations
- Update promotional materials, brochures, and bios
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality RFP responses and presentations
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and ensure timely submissions
- Track and analyze proposal outcomes to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Support the development and implementation of strategic account plans
- Research and evaluate new business opportunities and prospects
- Prepare marketing research reports using firm tools and resources
- Monitor performance and progress of account management activities
- Develop a working knowledge of the firm’s practice areas and client base
- Stay informed on relevant industries and business segments
Qualifications:- 5–7 years of experience in marketing or business development, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
- Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or completion of a relevant diploma program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Interaction is an asset
- Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:- Previous experience supporting RFPs, events, or sponsorships
- Bilingualism (e.g., French, Mandarin, Cantonese) considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment
