The Public Service Commission is seeking a seasoned and progressive HR professional who will leverage new approaches and innovative thinking to help government attract and hire a skilled, motivated and diverse workforce.
 

As Director, you will provide leadership for the hiring of talent in a workforce of over 12,000 employees, within approximately 35 departments, offices, and commissions. Reporting to the Executive Director of Recruitment, Compensation and Classification, you demonstrate strong leadership skills by coaching and inspiring a team of approximately 20 staff through major initiatives that drives streamlining and enhancements to the hiring process.
 

To succeed in this role, you partner with department leaders to understand, anticipate and meet workforce needs and must connect how talent acquisition intersects with other key areas of human resources and business objectives. You will leverage data-driven insights to develop, lead and monitor recruitment strategies in support of departmental Human Resources Plans.
 

The Director of Talent Acquisition works with community partners to embed inclusive recruitment strategies into all processes and ensures a consistent, high quality hiring experience for both prospective and current employees, as well as hiring managers. You will lead major initiatives that support talent sourcing, assessment, and selection across government and have operational accountabilities for leveraging talent pools for common roles. As a leader, you must readily adapt to changing priorities and find new ways to achieve outcomes and solutions to meet the needs of clients and evolve governments value proposition that aligns with the future workforce.
 

The ideal candidate will have a degree in human resource management, business, social sciences or other related field, coupled with several years of progressive experience in a leadership capacity. Demonstrated experience leading complex projects and progressive recruitment experience is preferred. You must be comfortable in leading conversations, providing presentations and understand workforce trends that affect recruitment and attraction.
