Agilus is recruiting for a Engineer - Pressure Equipment Integrity in the oil & gas industry in Redwater, Alberta. The Engineer - Pressure Equipment Integrity will work closely with Operations and Maintenance in support of the day-to-day operation of the refinery as well as the integration of minor projects. A typical day: Collaborate with the maintenance, operations and reliability team Provides support for fitness for service assessment, repair specifications, re-rate assessment, failure investigation, purchase specification, risk-based inspection Provides design support and engineering work packages for minor projects and plant changes through the facility management of change process Provides improvements to plant operation and reliability through innovative engineering and resolve root cause performance problems with static pressure equipment Reviewing and authenticating engineering work packages Knowledge of commonly used design and fabrication codes as well as post construction specifications for pressure vessels, furnaces, heat exchangers, process piping, and tankage Knowledge of materials engineering including refractory is an asset to aid assessment of suitable materials and their fabrication as part of the design or repair process Participation in Root Cause Failure Analysis for pressure equipment Successful candidates will have: Professional Engineer Designation (P. Eng) Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience using mechanical design tools for pressure equipment - Compress, CESAR Pipe stress analysis, JADE, FEA to support design verification and FFS assessment 5 + years of engineering experience in an operating plant Total rewards: Competitive pay Preferred rates for benefit coverage available Contract opportunity ~ 4 months
