Position: Promotions Coordinator
Location: 18520 Stony Plain Rd, Edmonton 
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week. Overtime as required. Some evenings and weekends required

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, organizing and executing promotions and contests to consistently exceed objectives to maximize ratings and revenue opportunities
  • Schedule and maintain station on air promotion assets and inventory
  • Attend all major station promotions and/or client promotions as required or assigned
  • Contribute and monitor daily posts and engagement of station’s social media channels
  • Supervise part time staff as required
  • Work closely with various departments on promotions, programming or sales initiatives
  • Other related duties as assigned by Promotions Director

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in marketing and promotions, creative communications or related program preferred. Experience in a similar role will also be considered.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Must be comfortable with frequent interactions with internal and external customers.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize, and problem solve while managing multiple projects/priorities within tight time frames.
  • Demonstrated experience in promotional event planning
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher. 
  • Must hold a full and unrestricted Class 5 drivers’ license to be considered
  • Experience or interest in advertising/marketing communication is an asset 
  • Strong knowledge in all social media platforms and ability to create and produce content
