Our client in the Manufacturing Industry is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations. This role focuses on resource planning, policy implementation, and improving production methods and working conditions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise warehouse personnel involved in shipping, receiving, and materials operations.
  • Manage manpower and resources to ensure timely and accurate job completion, monitoring schedules and performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and optimize material storage throughout the warehouse.
  • Oversee time and attendance for team members, issue corrective actions as necessary, and coordinate with HR on headcount management.
  • Monitor departmental performance metrics, conduct root cause investigations for any issues, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Foster effective employee relations through regular communication, feedback, mentoring, and problem resolution.
  • Evaluate team member performance against job requirements and goals, recommending corrective actions when necessary.
  • Determine training needs and maintain training matrices and records.
  • Ensure safety compliance for all team members and enforce departmental safety protocols.
  • Support safety initiatives, including incident reporting and audits, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities and develop corrective actions based on departmental trends.


Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role within an hourly or manufacturing workforce.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and foster open dialogue.
  • Proven ability to empower teams and cultivate a high-engagement culture.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, coaching, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite and inventory management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude towards change and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Results-oriented and self-motivated, with a proactive approach.
  • Previous forklift experience and certification preferred.
