Our manufacturing client is looking for a HR Coordinator to join their team on a 3- month contract.
This role supports the HR Business Partner in executing HR programs and processes. The HR Coordinator is responsible in maintaining superior employee performance and fostering a positive employee relations climate, utilizing HR techniques to enhance individual, team, and organizational performance.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and update HR reports, including Master HR Reports, compensation, and budget.
- Administer workforce changes in SAP and coordinate with payroll to ensure accuracy.
- Generate relevant HR reports for internal stakeholders.
- Act as the first point of contact for managers and employees on conflict resolution, performance management, recruitment, learning, training, talent, and HR policy issues.
- Prepare offers and official correspondence.
- Assist in managing disability claims and conducting routine exit interviews.
- Assist with recruitment operations
- Create requisitions in ATS, ensuring accuracy.
- Conduct HR interviews and deliver new hire orientation.
- Maintain recruitment vacancy tracker and contractor list.
- Coordinate with external recruitment agencies and screen applications for third-party temporary contractors.
- Manage co-op/internship opportunities.
- Screen applications and organize onboarding schedules.
- Identify employees for training and coordinate onsite logistics.
- Collect attendance lists for Talent to record learning hours.
- Support HRBP in talent management activities.
- Contribute to the administration and development of HR policies and procedures.
- Research HR issues and recommend new policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist in delivering employee events and internal communications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Human Resources Management.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in HR management.
- Knowledge of SAP HR, SAP SuccessFactors software.
- Skills in onboarding, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training program management, coaching, employee development, and disability management.
- Knowledge of Canadian HR legal environment and compliance requirements.
- Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively with data and facts.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
