Altis Recruitment & Technology is actively looking for a dynamic Recruitment Lead to grow our Finance & Accounting staffing division. As a Recruitment Lead, your goals will be to champion recruitment overall to create placements, and to have resources prepared and ready to meet our client’s Finance & Accounting hiring needs. You will seek out trends in filled and cancelled orders and promote a varied source of recruitment tools. This role will rely on your instincts to inspire daily recruitment activity through energy and initiatives, while providing consistent coaching and support. It will call on your superb leadership abilities and knowledge of the Finance & Accounting market, to create a vision that inspires and motivates your team members, accountability and execution, systems thinking and problem solving, effective communication and emotional intelligence, in depth knowledge of recruitment tools and best practices, adaptability and resilience, creative influence and collaboration, and a growth and continuous learning mindset.
Your main responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
People Leadership of Recruitment Team
- Hosting and leading huddles and team meetings, as well as holding weekly or bi-weekly one-to-one coaching meetings with all direct reports, to create an exceptional service and delivery experience for our clients
- Leading performance, development, and employee wellness conversations through quarterly check in meetings, annual anniversary reviews, and bi-annual employee assessments
- Championing team culture through anniversary celebrations, personal gifts, and recognizing top achievements
- Interviewing and making hiring decisions for the recruitment team (with the support of HR/Talent Acquisition)
- Initiating recruiter success plans, performance improvement plans, and managing the communication of resignations and dismissals within the group
- Identifying and coordinating training to elevate skills and approach while using subject-matter experts within the company and delegating training as needed
- Ensuring that our recruitment methodology has been executed and that all possible external sources are exhausted
- Solving day to day issues related to recruitment and identifying systemic improvements that will positively impact the whole team
- Seeking out trends from cancelled orders and keeping an active pulse on key metrics (fill ratio, interview to placement ratio, margin, average fee, calendar days open, and resume to interview)
Allocating Recruitment Resources & Managing Capacity
- Learning details of incoming job requirements from Account Managers; particularly skill, salary, client or prospect, active or lead, competing or exclusive, and deadline
- Assigning recruits based on fairness (equal opportunity for hard & easy fills, equal opportunity to be successful)
- Assigning recruits according to recruiter’s strengths and niche specific focus; what best serves the client
- Coordinating multi-recruiter approach for bulk orders
- Ensuring suitable expectations have been set by Account Managers with Recruiters
Recruitment Planning & Search Strategy
- Building and conducting strong searches with consultants as needed in our internal database and with the use of external tools
- Along with Account Managers, ensuring Recruiters understand the role and have a solid search plan
- As required (depending on Recruiter) helping with screen all questions, red flags, keywords, search strings, scripting, advertising, etc.
Oversight of Service and Delivery
- Acting as main point of contact for Account Managers and Recruiters regarding open orders
- Addressing frustrated searches; offering solutions and support
- Reassigning recruitment and/or adding additional Recruiters as needed to frustrated searches
- Ensuring Account Managers are following service standards and pushing orders to close post-resume submittal
- Participating as needed in account management of frustrated searches (re-taking job orders, coaching Account Managers on scripting and language to gather feedback, escalating calls with clients
Quality Assurance & Audits
- Performing open order and interview audits as required
- Ensuring client satisfaction through delivery
- Participating in NPS score review bi-monthly with leadership team and actioning any escalations
Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of strategic Finance & Accounting recruitment/staffing experience required
- 1-2 years of people leadership experience required
- Strong knowledge of Finance & Accounting roles, industry trends, and candidate sourcing strategies
- Passion for recruitment and enjoys engaging in active searches, setting the tone for the team through direct involvement and leadership by example
- Experience conducting performance reviews, providing coaching, and fostering professional development in recruitment teams
- Ability to design and execute recruitment strategies aligned with business goals and client needs
- Proficient in analyzing key recruitment metrics (e.g., fill ratios, time-to-fill, interview-to-hire ratios) and using data to improve team performance
- Skilled in balancing recruiter workloads, assigning roles strategically, and managing recruitment resources efficiently
- Ability to ensure high-quality service delivery to clients, resolve recruitment roadblocks, and enhance client satisfaction
- Adept at motivating teams, leading difficult conversations, and maintaining a positive team culture
- Strong familiarity with ATS systems, job boards, sourcing tools, and advanced search techniques
- Passion for team culture-building, employee recognition, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance environment
