Procurement Services, a branch of the Department of Service Nova Scotia, is a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to supporting our clients who procure goods, services, and construction to benefit Nova Scotians. We oversee the Nova Scotia Sustainable Procurement Policy, providing leadership and direction in the development and delivery of procurement programs, plans, and strategies that align with departmental and government priorities.
Our Business Intelligence (BI) Team offers comprehensive business systems support and analytics services to the branch and a wide range of clients across the Nova Scotia Public Sector. The BI Team engages in daily service and support as well as larger transformational projects that affect the broader Procurement service and its clients.
Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, the Manager is responsible for establishing, administering, and evolving the methods, systems, and tools used for analytics, measurement, and reporting. The Manager leads a team of Data Analysts to address the growing responsibilities and complexities of the analytics service, while collaborating with Procurement Leaders, stakeholders across the Nova Scotia Public Sector, and peers across Canada.
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as Data Science, Business Administration, Computer Science, etc.) in addition to several years of progressive experience related to data analysis or business intelligence in a complex service environment.

They need high initiative, motivation, and a solid grasp of data analytics. Proven leadership and stakeholder collaboration are essential for navigating a complex, dynamic procurement environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.

An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be accepted in place of education requirements. Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must demonstrate such equivalencies in their application.
