Make an introduction and work at a well respected refinery in the Edmonton area! Agilus is recruiting for a Project Engineer in the Oil&Gas Industry in Redwater, Alberta. Start date: May Finish date: Sept 30th, 2025. Schedule – 9/80 (outside the TA window) and 6/10 during the outage (End of June to 1st week of July). Please note that the day off may be during a weekday. Responsibilities: Leads interface between SSCP contractors an departments to develop the overall engineering for assigned projects from the FEED or detailed design phase through implementation in the refinery and turnover of documents back to the engineering team (close out) Works closely with the Lead-Projects, Engineering Services and Process Engineering team to ensure a clear SSCP scope of work and a proper business case justification Develops and distributes Scope of Works for internal review Liaise with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, procurement, and operations, to facilitate seamless project execution of assigned projects Supports the development of cost estimates for project scope and obtains approvals through the Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) process. Monitors costs throughout the project lifecycle and provides updated schedule and cost forecasts Develops and stewards the project philosophies, defines project technical and documentation requirements for the assigned SSCP scope and ensures that specifications and standards are met across all engineering interfaces in conjunction with the various disciplines Supports the PSSR (Pre-Start-up safety review), in liaison with the Process Safety Management team Requirements: Minimum 10 years of total experience, which can be a combination of technical experience and project management experience on projects in an operating environment Engineering Degree (Mechanical engineering background is an asset) and APEGA Professional Engineer designation is required Must be able to draw on broad experience in each area of detailed engineering, procurement and construction to prevent and solve project issues and make decisions in line with the project philosophy and execution plans What's in it for you: Resume strengthening placement Shutdown hours
