As a Sports Stores Clerk, you will support the Procurement Coordinator and Sports Store Supervisor in providing customer service and with other PSP programs.
As part of your responsibilities, you will greet customers, suppliers and visitors. You will make telephone, online and on-site reservations, as well as equipment loans. You will record daily statistics, give advice and provide information on activities. You will ensure the cleanliness of the premises. You will also go over inventories of administrative materials, merchandise and equipment and, to do so, will have to be able to update and track a computerized inventory.
In addition, you will be responsible for the rotation of merchandise and miscellaneous materials, again using a computerized system. You will ensure the availability of up-to-date computerized documentation. You will issue, receive, mark and store equipment, and will monitor equipment returns, inspect it for safety and take corrective action as required. You will prepare equipment loan documentation and ensure goods are received for the various PSP entities. You will also perform related duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND some experience in a related field.
OR
An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.
Experience
In a recreation, fitness facility or similar environment
In providing customer service
In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, email and Internet browsing

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.
PSP: Keep our Canadian Armed Forces operationally ready and their families and military community healthy as part of the team at Personnel Support Programs. Personnel Support Programs contributes to the operational readiness of our Canadian Armed Forces through the provision of fitness, sports, recreation and health Promotion programs to military communities across Canada and members while on deployment.
