Agilus is recruiting for an Account Manager - Industrial Outside Sales in the Industrial Supply Services Sector in Edmonton, Alberta. Our client supports customers all over Western Canada, they work with a wide range of products for customers in multiple industries, from oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, water, and food, all requiring a variety of solutions from full system set-ups, repair, and maintenance. The Account Manager, reporting to the Sales Manager, will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure appropriate management, or support of, the full scope of work from customer inquiry to delivery and service. Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers/vendors to understand their needs, provide exceptional service, and ensure long-term satisfaction. Provide Stakeholders (Customers, Vendors, Management, Internal Teams, etc.) with accurate, knowledgeable information within your scope. Provide customers with accurate information concerning represented products and their suitability for customer applications. Encourage and participate in “lessons learned’ sessions as required to ensure understanding, proper corrective action, and to mitigate future risks. Responsible for accurately conveying customer requirements to all personnel involved with project tendering and day-to-day RFQs, including other staff and subcontractors. Ensure customer order requirements are effectively communicated to functional departments and vendors. Collaborate with team members as required to ensure appropriate expectations, deliverables, and communications. Develop a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and close deals efficiently in assigned territory. Strive to meet and exceed sales goals through prospecting, qualifying, and securing business opportunities. Identify new projects and leads by developing and maintaining relationships with all stakeholders (end users, engineering firms, contractors). Maintain and seek out opportunities to expand business with current customers. Work with peer Outside Sales Representatives to identify and develop business opportunities and marketing strategies for existing/new markets. Maintain project pursuit, customer database, quotation tracking, and follow-up procedures within the framework of the Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Maintain necessary certifications and meet OHS requirements to gain access to Vendor or Customer sites. Support on site troubleshooting, start-up, and commissioning as required. Successful candidates will have: A friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor. A bachelor's degree or technical diploma in business, marketing, engineering, instrumentation or a related field is typically required. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales, account management, or a related field, with experience in an industrial setting. Rotating equipment or millwright experience is considered an asset. Customer Service Focus; Problem-solving; proactive approach, and systematic thinking. Investigative strategy; Accountability, high attention to detail, and best practices approach. Strong communication skills; verbal communication, legible penmanship, and coherent writing and notes (in software). Strong understanding of compressed air technology, with a focus on air compressor applications, sales and technical aptitude.
