We’re looking for a strategic and data-driven Technology Business Advisor to join our Technology & Operations team. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners to define, implement, and champion performance and risk metrics (KPIs and KRIs) that measure the effectiveness of key technology processes. What You’ll Do:
Partner with process owners to propose meaningful performance and risk metrics for key areas such as:
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
IT Service Management
Data Management
Information Security – For example, IAM, and Vulnerability management.
Develop professional, and usable project documents (project artifacts) for multiple stakeholders covering technical and non-technical requirements
Align metrics to specific process goals and risk appetite
Analyze historical data to refine metric definitions and breach thresholds
Work closely with reporting teams to evaluate feasibility and refine metrics as needed
Champion metric adoption and secure stakeholder and leadership approval
Guide reporting teams during implementation, ensuring effective integration and use
Expertise with business and technical consulting
What you need to be successful:
5+ years of experience in Technology Strategy Advisor roles or similar roles and post-secondary degree in related field of study
Strong expertise with collaboration alongside stakeholders in defining business requirements to inform technology teams on how to build the appropriate metrics - by sourcing and analyzing relevant data, reviewing, and documenting business processes
5+ yrs with sourcing business and market data to evaluate the effectiveness of projects on business results.
Expertise with assessing the efficiency and the performance of technology (software, hardware and the wider IT systems) to deliver expected business results. In addition, you will identify and analyze system workflows, and troubleshoot issues raised by business.
Deep understanding of technology business processes and information security practices
Proven track record in defining and implementing KPIs and KRIs
Familiarity with frameworks like NIST, COBIT, or other industry risk/control models
Strong written and verbal communication skills — including crafting executive-level PowerPoint presentations
Ability to influence and build relationships across technical and business teams
Experience working with data reporting teams or BI tools is a plus
Strong judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve business and technical problems within given rules
Works well independently and regularly handles non-routine situations
Strong Stakeholder Analysis and Management.
Experience in a Financial Services organization is preferred
