As a Bike Patrol Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as a security operations centre, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities for Bike Patrol Security Guard

  • Perform regular bike patrols across designated areas, including pathways, parking lots, building perimeters, and high-traffic zones

  • Serve as the first on-scene responder to medical emergencies, leveraging your OFA 2 certification to provide appropriate care until additional help arrives

  • Act as a visible deterrent to inappropriate or criminal activity

  • Monitor campus activity and identify security or safety concerns

  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and service calls in a timely and professional manner

  • Enforce campus policies and procedures in a courteous and effective manner

  • Conduct building checks and perimeter inspections

  • Provide informational support and guidance to students, staff, and visitors

  • Maintain detailed and accurate incident and daily activity reports

  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, site management, and emergency services when needed

  • Assist in crowd control, special events, or emergency evacuation procedures

  • Maintain and care for patrol bike and related equipment

Qualifications for Bike Patrol Security Guard

  • Be authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid security license
  • Love riding the Bike
  • First aid Level 2 certification is required
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Good eyesight and excellent abilities to maintain focus
  • Strong proficiency with technology
