The Corporate Communications Officer will plan, manage, develop and execute corporate communications plans for projects and initiatives, from needs assessment, planning, and content development to distribution. They will create and implement corporate communications policies and materials that reflect the organization’s strategic objectives and brand expression. They will develop engaging public-facing corporate communications collateral, including but not limited to publications, promotional items, fact sheets, and advertisements, key messages, speaking remarks, web content and presentations.
Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has excellent writing skills, and is experienced in implementing corporate communications plans.
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Communications, Marketing, Public/Media Relations, or a related field AND several years of experience in communications, public/media relations or in a related field
Experience
In managing, developing and executing communications plans
In planning, coordinating and delivering corporate materials
In assessing strategic communications approach and/or stakeholder engagement issues
In communications and public relations
In drafting and editing strategic communications and stakeholder engagement materials
In planning and conducting presentations and meetings
In conducting research and analysis
In writing for different audiences, including digital spaces
In working with graphics and/or promotional designers
In project management
In negotiating service contracts and working with various suppliers
In budget administration
In managing websites and content management systems
Competencies
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
English or French Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
