Responsibilities for Night Security Team Lead

  • Lead and supervise a team of security guards across assigned locations/shifts.
  • Develop and maintain duty rosters, shift schedules, and task assignments.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Train new security personnel and provide ongoing coaching and performance evaluations.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections to ensure all areas are secure.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, or emergencies and document detailed reports.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
  • Maintain records of daily activities, incident reports, and investigations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and recommend security improvements.
  • Ensure the security team presents a professional image at all times.

Qualifications for Night Security Team Lead

  • 1 to 3 years experience in personnel management in a unionized environment 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English an asset) 
  • Valid Alberta security guard license and first aid card 
  • Available to work flexible hours  
  • Proven experience in a security role, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and emergency response.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make quick decisions.
  • Basic computer skills for report writing and scheduling.
