Roles and Responsibilities 

This role is responsible for arranging moving services primarily for corporate clients whose employees are relocating within Canada.

The ideal candidate will be proficient communicating in English (and French), possess above-average customer service skills, have a friendly and outgoing demeanor, and be meticulously organized and driven to solve problems.

Description of Duty

Move Coordination:

  • Acts as the single point of contact for national accounts to receive, manage and monitor household goods shipment relocation orders for their transferees
  • Collaborates with moving agencies, drivers, third-party suppliers, and operations planners as needed to coordinate moving services
  • Follows pre-defined move management process with multiple communication contact points
  • Records all pertinent transactions and communications in move order system, ensuring accurate and timely information is captured; populate auxiliary systems as required
  • Understands and applies account-specific relocation policy rules to ensure compliance by all service delivery providers
  • Obtains quotes from third-party suppliers such as automobile carriers; review invoices for payment
  • Creates and presents cost estimates to accounts as part of the move authorization process
  • Handle real-time customer issues for quick resolution to minimize adverse financial impacts and logistical interruptions

Administrative Functions:

  • Produces and maintains management reports
  • Administers account profiles as required
  • Assists in preparation of Service Level Agreement (performance) reports
  • Ensures procedural documentation is current
  • Handles other administrative duties

Qualifications and preferred skills (Qualifications, Skills, Education or Certification Requirements, etc.)

Education/Certification Requirements

High school diploma and a minimum of three years’ applicable work experience (preference will be given to candidates with post-secondary education in a relevant field).

 

Qualifications and Experience Requirements

  • Good knowledge of Canadian geography, preferably in the context of the transportation or household goods moving industry
  • Previous experience working with clients of corporate accounts an asset
  • Must be process and results oriented (i.e., time management skills); capable of simultaneously handling multiple customers, problem-solving tasks, or issues in a professional manner
  • Communicates clearly and concisely (written/verbal) in English and French (preference for bilingual capabilities)
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
