About Our Opportunity


Reporting to the Project Executive, the Project Manager is accountable for one or more projects on a strategic level within the department and horizontal delivery between other government departments. They identify, define, and manage overall projects that impact multiple internal and external partners. The Project Manager is responsible for consultation, promotion, budgeting, contract management, communications, and/or development of the overall project and project plans.  
 

Primary Accountabilities


As a Project Manager, you’ll lead strategic projects that impact PSC and multiple departments across government. You will: 
  

  • Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and other Initiatives. 
  • Develop project scopes, business requirements, and plans using established project management methodologies. 
  • Manage resources and timelines to ensure efficient delivery and performance against project goals. 
  • Drive project communication plans, track milestones, and prepare updates for senior leadership and stakeholders. 
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, contributing to process enhancements and change initiatives. 
  • Collaborate and work through matrixed project teams—including peers, subject matter experts, consultants, and external partners—to achieve project outcomes, without necessarily having direct supervisory authority. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, consultants, vendors, and industry partners. 
  • Support cross-functional collaborations and facilitate solutions for complex, multi-partners initiatives. 
  • Develop and execute a change management strategy to ensure successful adoption of projects. 
  • Identify potential barriers to change and create actionable plans to address resistance among stakeholders. 

Qualifications and Experience


We’re looking for someone who brings not just technical expertise, but also strategic thinking and collaborative leadership. 


Must-Have Skills & Experience 

  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably in a public sector or large organization setting. 
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, planning tools, and performance metrics. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Demonstrated experience identifying operational improvements and implementing change management strategies. 
  • Skilled in navigating organizational structures and influencing decision-makers at all levels. 
  • Experience leading teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
